How to Navigate your Request System Account

Use these directions to navigate your Specialized Research Collections Request System account, after you have created a request account.

Your home screen includes a menu across the top:

Navigation step 1


“New Requests”: submit a new request for an item from the USC Libraries catalog or Archives@USC; access a blank item or collection request form; begin a reproduction request.

Navigation 2


“My Requests”: See any saved (not yet submitted) requests, outstanding (submitted) requests, requests that have been cancelled (by you or by staff), and your entire request history.

Navigation 3


“Activities” provides access to any classes, exhibits, or other special events for which you may have requested materials (these are created in consultation with a Special Collections staff member).

“Appointments” allows you to request a new appointment, and to see and filter existing and completed appointments.

Search” allows you to search your requests.

My Profile” allows you to see and updated your personal information and view any notifications sent by the system.

Get Started” takes you to information for first time users which you read when you created your account.
