Faculty, staff and graduate students may use this form to submit requests for resources not currently available at the USC Libraries. We aim to support your teaching, research and clinical needs, and recognize that an important aspect of collection development comes through recommendations.
Please note the following:
- USC Libraries collections continue to grow with new titles and updated content that is added to our ongoing subscriptions and agreements for electronic books, electronic journals, and databases. You can learn more on our Collections Policies and Updates page. USC Libraries has an e-first collections policy. That means that if your request is available electronically, that is the format we will purchase. Not all purchase options are available to libraries -- for instance, we are not able to buy books on Kindle-- and we may only be able to purchase resources with a limited number of concurrent users (e.g. only 3 people can use a title at a time).
- If we are unable to purchase this request electronically, we will transfer your request to our Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery (IDD) department who will try and obtain it from another institution.
- We have limits on what we purchase. These limits exist for reasons of budget, availability, format, and other criteria. For instance, we do not purchase textbooks or certain types of streaming video. We do not generally purchase popular reading materials that aren’t related to course study or research. If we are able to get you what you need for your research, teaching or clinical purposes, we will endeavor to do so.
