Ludovico Domenichi was an Italian translator, known for his editions and translations of classical works, including Xenophon, Plutarch, and Pliny the Elder. He was court historian to Cosimo I Medici of Florence, who released him from imprisonment from the Inquisition for his translations of the works of the Protestant cleric John Calvin.
