Explore East Asian History, Arts, and Cultures at USC Libraries: Taiko Ensemble

Don. Don. Clack. Clack. Don. Join us Friday morning for an exciting demonstration and workshop of the traditional art of Japanese taiko drumming given by the USC Kazan Taiko. Founded in the fall of 2002 by Koichi Sanchez and Bridge Mei, as the first Japanese taiko ensemble group at the University of Southern California, the goal of the USC Kazan Taiko group is to provide a place for our members to express themselves through rhythm and movement, while learning and participating in the tradition of Japanese taiko drumming.

This workshop is part of Dr. Christopher Hepburn's GESM course titled Musical Histories of East Asia and is sponsored by the Department of History and East Asian Library.
