“Creativity is a collaborative endeavor.”  Leonardo was most certainly a polymath, but he was anything but a loner.  He surrounded himself with a diverse circle of musicians, architects, engineers, mathematicians, and anatomists to 1. indulge his insatiable curiosity; 2. because he humbly knew he didn’t know everything; and 3. because his biographers say he genuinely enjoyed working with others! Polymathy shows us that significant progress, innovations, and fulfillment come from the sharing, collaboration, and intersection of varied knowledge bases, perspectives, and experiences.
