USC Librarians Ruth Wallach, Dace Taube, and Claude Zachary co-wrote a new pictorial work from Arcadia Press, Historic Hotels of Los Angeles and Hollywood, with Linda McCann (formerly of the USC Libraries) and USC emeritus professor Curt Roseman.
The official publication date is October 27, 2008. The next day, Tuesday, October 28, the authors will host a book launch event at USC's Leavey Library auditorium, from 3:30-4:30 pm.
The book presents a pictorial history of Los Angeles hotels downtown, in Hollywood, and along the Wilshire Boulevard corridor from the late-19th through the mid-20th centuries. Featuring nearly 140 hotels, it will be available from the USC Bookstore, Amazon.com, and other booksellers.
