USC Appoints Alumna Melissa Just New Dean of Libraries

Melissa Just—a USC alumna with nearly three decades of experience in academic libraries—has been named dean of the USC Libraries, effective November 27, the University of Southern California announced today. Just joins the USC Libraries from the University of Saskatchewan, where she has served as university library dean since 2017.

“Dr. Just is a visionary leader for USC Libraries,” President Carol Folt told USC News. “Her expertise and innovation will guide USC through the evolving world of library innovation, technology, and resources. Dr. Just, a Trojan, understands that our libraries are at the heart of USC’s educational mission.”
