Spring Call for Applications: Undergraduate Information Literacy Course Enhancement Grants

From literature reviews to research papers to creative works, information literacy concepts and skills are used in every discipline throughout the research process. Information literacy is the set of abilities encompassing the discovery of information, how information is produced and valued, and the use of that information in creating new knowledge. Information literacy emphasizes reflection throughout this cycle and ethical participation in communities of learning.

The USC Libraries are now accepting a second round of applications from USC faculty for Undergraduate Information Literacy Course Enhancement Grants. This grant opportunity is designed to jumpstart curricular implementation, through re-design of a syllabus and/or assignment of the recently adopted USC Information Literacy Outcomes for Undergraduates and the recently filed Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Information Literacy Framework for Higher Education. The spring deadline is Jan. 29, 2016. Grant recipients will be awarded $200 to devote time to attend the information literacy workshop on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016.
