The Science & Engineering Library's first floor reading area is currently undergoing renovations that will bring enhanced study and instruction space. Improvements include the installation of compact shelving for the reference collection, freeing up space for lounge and collaborative seating, larger information kiosk stations, and dual use instruction and study space. The new layout will double the number of seats to 90 and facilitate information literacy instruction classes and demonstrations. Due to construction, the first floor will be closed from July 6 to July 30.
Although the first floor will be sealed, library staff will make every effort to maintain access to the second and third floors. The entire library will be closed from Thursday, July 8, reopening on Monday, July 12 at 9:00 a.m. Throughout July, the library will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed on weekends.
