Library Instruction Continues Uptrend

Librarians and staff members of the USC Libraries provide library instruction sessions for almost all of the Writing Program and American Language Institute courses, as well as for a wide range of courses in all disciplines.  Instruction sessions increased by at least 1% during Academic Year 2009-2010, with 835 sessions given and 17,737 students reached.  Typical library instruction sessions cover use of key book and journal resources, finding aids, search engines and article databases, and library services ranging from interlibrary loan to reference.  Sessions are geared to assignments and other foci per the professor's request. Faculty members wishing to request an instruction session for your class may sign up at Request-a-Class.
