As of October 27, the USC Libraries' participation in the Good Neighbors Campaign surpassed last year's participation level. The libraries ranked in the top 15 last year in the total amount contributed, but Dean Catherine Quinlan and the members of the libraries' GNC team have challenged libraries faculty and staff to increase their participation rate this year. Dean Quinlan has personally matched the first $1000 contributed by USC Libraries' staff after issuing the challenge at the kick-off event on September 30.
