Korean Calligraphy Unveiled at East Asian Library

At a November 17 ceremony, Korean American Calligraphy Association president Dr. Hyung W. Oh presented an artwork by the prominent calligrapher Myoung Won Kwon to the USC Korean Heritage and East Asian Libraries. Dean Catherine Quinlan of the USC Libraries accepted the piece on behalf of the libraries.

Kwon is a master of the Korean calligraphy tradition. His artwork--on display in the East Asian Library--is a calligraphic expression of the poem "Today" by the late South Korean poet and essayist Ku Sang. You can view more of Kwon's work on his Web site.
