Inside the USC Libraries: Crocker Business Library

With specialized lab PCs, electronic resources, and a selection of essential print resources, the Roy P. Crocker Business Library supports the research needs of USC Marshall School of Business students, faculty, and staff.

Most business research resources are available online, and the Crocker Business Library offers students plenty of ways to access them. A computer lab in the library's lower level contains over sixty workstations running standard business software. Another twenty-four computers are available in the second-floor reading room. (A MyMarshall login is required to use the computers, but guest access is available at the circulation desk.) Laptops are also available for check-out for up to three hours.

Although most circulating business books are housed in Doheny Library or the Grand Depository, a small selection of recent books is on display in the reading room. These books include Wall Street Journal and New York Times bestsellers and recent publications by Marshall faculty. The books, which range from business profiles (Grande Expectations: A Year in the Life of Starbucks' Stock) to narrative accounts of the 2008 financial crisis (House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street), may be checked out for two weeks. Non-circulating print resources are also available, including business magazines (Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist), bound journals, and reference books.

The library's reading room includes study carrels, laptop stations, and tables. Ten breakout rooms may be reserved online for collaborative study and group projects.

Visit the Crocker Business Library on the second floor of Hoffman Hall. Fall semester hours are 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturdays, and 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. Sundays.
