Good Neighbors Campaign Halfway Report

Now that we have passed the halfway point of the 2010 USC Good Neighbors Campaign, the USC Libraries have just a 32% participation rate, which currently ranks us 37th out of 46 administrative units on campus. As stated at the October 7 Library Forum, the libraries' GNC goal this year is to boost our participation into the top 20. Based on last year’s results, the libraries would need to achieve 72% participation, so we still have a ways to go. (It may take less than 72%, but your libraries' campaign team has its eye on 72.)

Remember, every dollar counts! The Libraries' focus, as Dean Catherine Quinlan noted, is participation, not monetary amount. It is worth noting that we now have two 1% donors—those who pledge 1% of their salaries—which is two more than last year.

Please double-check your campus mailbox for your GNC packet if you have not already picked it up. If you need a new form, get one here on the Good Neighbors website, or contact a member of the Libraries’ GNC team: Sara Tompson, Stephanie Foreman, Najwa Hanel, or John McIntyre.

The campaign is open until October 31, 2010. All USC Libraries participants will be invited to a reception hosted by Dean Quinlan and will be eligible for some great raffle prizes. Given the excitement of our new President and his lofty goals for USC’s future, let’s try to break last year's record and help the university’s neighbors.
