13 Cute and Creepy Halloween Costumes From the USC Digital Library

USC Digital Library

In honor of Halloween, we present thirteen vintage costumes, photographically preserved in the USC Libraries' Los Angeles Examiner Collection.

William Randolph Hearst founded the Los Angeles Examiner in 1903. It became one of the city's highest-circulation daily newspapers before merging with the Herald-Express in 1962 to form the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner. Today the Examiner's photographic morgue and extensive archive of clippings inspire new scholarship as part of the USC Libraries' Special Collections.
