Acceptable use of DML 240 is only for one time academic-related activities, such as lectures or readings. Due to high demand for our spaces from campus groups, we can not accept reservations for meetings, reoccurring classes, or other nonacademic uses. The space is not available on the weekends.
Venue guidelines for review and compliance:
- Although the USC Libraries allows its spaces to be used, it is NOT a full-service conference center and does not provide Event Management or Facilities support.
It is the full responsibility of the Client organizing the event to comply with USC policies, arrange for any service needs including audio-visual support, room setup, catering, custodial, parking, etc.
The reservation start time is the event time. Clients have one hour for setup prior to and one hour at the conclusion of the event time for clean up (unless the building is closed beyond that time).

- For audio-visual needs, the USC Libraries does NOT provide technical support for the equipment in the space.
The Friends of the USC Libraries Lecture Hall, Room 240 has built-in audio with wireless microphones, projector, screen, as well as Zoom capabilities (similar to classrooms).
If the wireless microphones are used during your event, all microphones must be returned to the charging base station inside the podium (labels facing out) and lock the podium.
The Client is responsible for providing a laptop if needed.

- Catering deliveries for events in Doheny Memorial Library must go through the front doors of the building with stairs. No ramp/cart access is available at the north or south entrances.
- Please clean up after your event and remove the trash. To arrange for custodial services two weeks prior to your event, please contact Facilities Management Services at fms-evtp@usc.edu.

- If you need an Event Manager or event planning tools, please visit the USC Office of Cultural Relations and University Events web site at www.usc.edu/dept/pubrel/specialevents for more information.
- Cancellations must be made at least 3 business days in advance. If you need to cancel your event, please contact our office directly at pajohnso@usc.edu.
- Please leave the room clean and in good condition. All areas must be properly restored after the event. Repeated abuse may result in suspension of reservation privileges.
