Welcome to the USC chapter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, a highly selective national organization dedicated to recognizing academic excellence across all areas of study.

Established in 1924, the USC chapter of Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) is celebrating 100 years on campus. PKP is the nation’s oldest all-discipline honor society, and membership is by invitation only. The USC chapter of PKP provides opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty members to be recognized for their accomplishments by a supportive and engaged academic community through annual awards, scholarships and fellowships.

Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, PKP is the nation's oldest and largest honor society.  Four of the oldest independent honor societies, including three of the original six founding members of the Association of College Honor Societies, have formed a new coordinating organization called the Honor Society Caucus. PKP's membership currently numbers more than 900,000 scholars from across the globe. Every year approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni from 325 colleges and universities are inducted.
