William Dotson

Bill Dotson (he/him) serves as Associate Dean, Communications and Strategic Initiatives at the USC Libraries. He leads a portfolio that includes communications, planning, and programs; the libraries’ contracts and grants office; government and foundation relations; the USC Sidney Harman Academy for Polymathic Study; the Phi Kappa Phi academic honor society; and strategic partnerships, including the L.A. as Subject research alliance of 267 archives and historical collections hosted by the USC Libraries. Bill joined the USC Libraries in 2007 and holds a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in English literature from Pomona College. He has taught literature and writing classes at USC and Cal State LA.
