Research Areas

A first-generation college student, Eduardo Tinoco holds a Master of Library and Information Science Degree from San Jose State University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree, in English, from California State University, Northridge and is pursuing his Doctor of Education Studies at the USC Rossier School of Education. Prior to pursuing his education, Ed served with the United States Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment and continues to remain active with many veterans’ groups at USC and beyond.

Responsibilities

Ed joined USC in 2004.  With over twenty-years of work experience in the entertainment, financial, and education fields, Ed's expertise in qualitative and quantitative business research and analysis is essential to the support of the faculty, staff, and students at the USC Marshall School of Business and the USC Leventhal School of Business.  As the Economics subject librarian, he is also responsible for providing support to the Economic Department in the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letter, Arts, and Sciences.  A former USC Libraries senior administrator and Los Angeles Public Library Commissioner, Ed's experience with the work of public library and academic library operations and services, give him the ability to think strategically and provide vision in any library environment.  An effective communicator, in two languages, he has the versatility to work with all levels of an organization.
