Responsibilities

  • Director, Culture and Engagement

    • Drives the USC Libraries efforts to create and promote a positive culture in alignment with the USC Unifying Values  

    • Builds, fosters and advances processes for onboarding new employees in partnership with the Associate Dean,Faculty Affairs and HR Partner  

    • Partners with Staff Council and Faculty Council on culture-related initiatives, and with HR on culture-related activities  

    • Supports employee engagement and growth through libraries-wide professional development  

    • Supports the work of the Libraries Accessibility, Belonging and Community Committee and the Culture Journey team  

    • Serves as Culture engagement faculty officer on standing search committee  

    • Facilitates library wide conversations on culture  

     

  • Communication & Journalism Gender and LGBT Studies Librarian
    • Conducts subject specific course instruction
    • Provides in-depth research consultations
    • Consults with faculty on course materials
