Library Accounts Library borrower accounts are created for all Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry Faculty, Staff and Students. A valid USC ID must be presented to the Library Front Desk in order to borrow materials. There are no exceptions to this policy. You may not utilize another person’s university ID to access or borrow materials. USC Students, Faculty, Staff: Your borrower account allows you to: borrow books and renew through the USC Libraries catalog or in person access licensed online journals and books: use USC NetID and password use Wilson computer workstations: use USC NetID and password request items from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery borrow up to 25 items at a time Your USC ID also allows you to borrow library materials at all other USC Libraries locations. Borrowing policies may differ. Volunteer Faculty and Affiliates: Library accounts, including access to electronic resources require sponsorship by your department chair or home department coordinator. Not all affiliates are eligible for all USC electronic services. Alumni Borrowers: Please see our page about Alumni Resources. Proxy Borrowers: Proxy cards are available for faculty to designate a specific person to borrow material on the faculty member’s behalf. These transactions are the responsibility of the faculty member. Only faculty with current library accounts will be eligible for this service. Non-USC Health Professionals, Foreign Medical Graduates, UCLA & Caltech Graduate Students: Fees are as follows: health professionals (proof of licensure required); $100.00/year foreign medical school graduates (proof of degree with translation required); $100.00/year. You can register for an account here. You must also fill out a borrower agreement that can be found here. UCLA and Caltech graduate students (proof of affiliation required); $50.00/year.
