COVID-19: In support of the health and wellbeing of the USC community, library buildings are closed until further notice, and room reservations are not available. Two conference rooms on the lower level are available for USC meetings, workshops, site visits and videoconferencing. Features Rooms are equipped with a Windows 10 computer workstation, projector, large projection screen and laptop connector for the projector. A USC NetID is required to log into the Conference Room stations. Reservations Room reservations are required. Check the West Conference Room calendar (room B16) and East Conference Room calendar (room B8) for availability. (Only one year of reservations is provided.) For additional information, call (323) 442-1483. Make reservation requests preferably 24 hours or earlier ahead of your meetings. May only be reserved by USC faculty, staff, and student organizations. Loud or disruptive behavior is not permitted. Borrow the room key from the Loan Desk using a valid USCard or USC ID. At the end of the meeting, leave the room in an orderly condition, turn off the lights, and lock the door. A $25 Food Consumption fee is applied when food & beverage (Pizza, Sandwiches, salads, boxed coffee and juice, etc.) are consumed in the conference rooms. When a delivery of any kind (food or snacks) is made by a third party service, the fee is applied. An additional $50 fee will be applied if there is food or drink spillage, food is left in the room, the trash is overflowing, or the rooms’ tables and chairs are not returned to their original configuration. Light snacks & personal beverages (pastries, fruit, cookies, bottled water & sealed beverage containers) are permitted without incurring a fee, but only when the department or the attendees bring these items into the rooms, and ensure that any leftovers are removed and spills cleaned up after their sessions. When making a reservation request, please let us know whether you or your attendees plan on bringing in light snacks or if you plan on scheduling a delivery of food for your session. Make arrangements for food directly with the caterer. Catering services are available on the Health Sciences Campus by calling (323) 442-1080 or (323) 442-1081. Schedule a custodial cleanup with FMS in advance if you are not able to clean up the room. Contact FMS at 323-442-8005. Specify multimedia equipment needs when making reservations. If you need help using the A/V equipment, schedule an equipment walk-through prior to your meeting by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Report any equipment problems to the Loan Desk before leaving the library. Repair fees are assessed when applicable. Regularly scheduled meetings are discouraged and are subject to “bumping” by higher priority groups. Reservations are limited to two per month. The Conference Rooms are not intended for classroom space, but can be reserved for a few class sessions during the semester. The library reserves the right to deny requests for use of the room and to reschedule or cancel room reservations up to 3 days prior to the event. $100/day charge applies to USC programs that charge for attendance or are grant-related. The library reserves the right to cancel reservations for groups who do not observe the policies stated above and that have outstanding fees.
