Leavey Library Services

Circulation Desk Services (first floor to the left of the main entrance lobby)

Leavey Library carries a wide range of materials (books, DVDs, videos, cameras, audio recorders, headphones and reserve items) for use in the library or for limited loan. A library card is necessary to check out these materials. Inquire at the circulation desk for loan periods, library cards or payment of fines. The circulation desk is staffed 24 hours a day except when the building is closed: Hours of Operation

Lost and found: Items left at Leavey Library can be claimed at the circulation desk. All items-including IDs-€”left in the building are deposited at the circulation desk throughout the day. Once each week, items left longer than 7 days are sent to the Department of Public Safety (Parking Structure A) and USCards are sent to the USCard office in Parking Structure X.

Undergraduate and Graduate Course Reserves (1st floor)

Leavey Library facilitates both physical and electronic access to reserve materials required for undergraduate and graduate level course assignments. Leavey's circulation department houses copies of course materials, which includes books, course readings, homework solutions, audio and visual materials.

Students borrow and return reserve items to Leavey's circulation desk. To retrieve items for a particular course, students should first identify the items' call numbers by logging into their Course Reserves.

Faculty can place reserve requests online

For more information about Course Reserves, please see the research guide for that service.
