Information for non-USC researchers

The AFA Library is a resource funded primarily for use by USC students, faculty, and staff. Non-USC researchers are welcome to use the AFA library. Non-USC users must adhere to the following:

  • There is no non-USC access to computers or scanners in the AFA library; no exceptions.
  • The Doheny Memorial Library is the place to inquire about getting a library card, as described under the "Non-USC" user tab on the lending policies page;
  • To use the photocopier, please purchase a copy card in the Science and Engineering Library, located aross Watt Way, west of Watt Hall;
  • Materials from the Circulation Desk and VHS/DVDs are not accessible without a USC library card; no exceptions.
  • Materials from the Cage and archival materials are available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm in the Rare Books Reading Room only.

MERENDINO ROOM USE POLICY

Usage and Reservations:

  • Used for seminars or for study. Classes and groups have priority over individuals. Maximum capacity: 12 people.
  • Available to USC faculty or USC student groups on a first-come, first-served basis in blocks of up to 2 hours at a time. Can be reserved a week in advance through libcal.usc.edu.
  • Academic year availability is Monday-Thursday 9am-9pm; Fridays 9am-4pm; Sundays 12pm-5pm. Summer availability is Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
  • The room is not available for use by groups not affiliated with USC.

Clean-up:

Please leave the Merendino Room in clean and in good condition. Repeated abuse may result in suspension of reservation privileges. Anything left in the rooms will be discarded.
