USC Libraries Data and Visualization Workshops

VKC Library offers a variety of workshops, events, and other outreach programming focusing on data, visualization, tools, software, government information and collections housed within VKC Library and other libraries. The workshops are intended for both undergraduate and graduate students and faculty.

NEW SERVICE - Open Hours on Fridays 1 - 3pm, VKC Library, MMR  
Join us on Friday’s starting September 27th for weekly open hours.
Get help with data, visualization, and use our space for research! These open hours are a compliment to our workshop series and are a great opportunity to continue the discussion from those sessions. Sign up for reminder email and more info about these open hours.

Space is limited and you must RSVP.

***Please note you must bring your own laptop to these workshops.*** All workshops will be held in  VKC MMR.

Find neighborhood statistics and data via USC Libraries databases (Social Explorer and SimplyAnalytics) and publicly available tools like the Census American Factfinder [which is transitioning to Data.Census.Gov] and open data portals like City LA.
