Gene Bickers, Professor of Physics and Astronomy

Professor Bickers studies condensed matter theory and the strongly correlated electrons in solids. He received B.A. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Virginia and his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Cornell University. His research interests center on the theory of strongly correlated electrons in exotic solids, including high-temperature superconductors. One of Bickers' primary goals is to help improve the teaching of introductory and lower division courses in science and mathematics.
