Josephus, Translated and Transformed

Titus Flavius Josephus (born Yosef ben Mattityahu) was a first-century Roman-Jewish historian whose works are the chief source next to the Bible for the history and antiquity of ancient Palestine. This exhibition highlights editions and translations of Flavius Josephus' works spanning 400 years of printing from the Feuchtwanger Memorial Library. The exhibit also highlights literary and artistic adaptations of Josephus' work.

View the display at Special Collections, on the second floor of Doheny Memorial Library, from October 28 to December 18, 2024. Please contact Taylor Dwyer, Curator of Feuchtwanger Memorial Library, for more information.
