Used everywhere from engineering, graphic design, game development, heritage conservation, and film, 3D modeling is a powerful and versatile tool in the digital landscape. Maya is an industry leading technology in that field – it’s been used in nearly every academy award winning film in the category of visual effects since 1997.

Learn the basics of 3D Modeling with Maya, including a brief look at the history and context of the practice. Attendees will receive a short demonstration and start practicing their modeling skills with a guided challenge.

All currently enrolled USC students who attend will receive a free 1 year license to Autodesk Maya, limited to the first 30 students to arrive for the workshop.

We welcome USC students from all majors with no prior experience necessary.

This program is open to all eligible individuals. The USC Libraries operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.
