Bridges to Cuba: A Celebration of Poet Jose Martí and Legendary Composer Aurelio de la Vega

Please join Dean Catherine Quinlan and the Friends of the USC Libraries for a celebration of the most important living classical composer from Cuba, Aurelio de la Vega. A discussion with de la Vega, documentary filmmaker Camilo Vila, film editor Kert Vander Meulen, and USC Prof. Roberto I. Diaz will precede a screening of Aurelio: Rebel with a Cause. At the reception, we are proud to rededicate a bust, donated to the USC Libraries Boeckmann Center by Yolanda Lorente, of famous 19th-century Cuban poet and patriot Jose Martí.
