Annotated bibliographies are lists of cited sources that include a brief summary. Annotations typically describe the main arguments of a source and include evaluative components to better demonstrate the usefulness and importance of each source for your research. Explore how different types of sources contribute to the scholarly conversation and understanding of a research problem, and strengthen your analytical and evaluative skills.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define annotated bibliography
  • Identify types of annotations
  • Develop strategies to critically evaluate reference sources and their relevance for your research
  • Use the APA citation style (or another citation style) to effectively format your annotated bibliography
