Eligibility for IDD Services

USC Libraries' Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery (IDD) services borrows books and other physical items and obtains scans for book chapters, articles, and other research materials through a network of libraries, research centers, and other institutions.  IDD operates within a global network of libraries and research institutions to share resources and support scholarly research for faculty, staff, and students.

All University of Southern California University Park Campus (UPC) and Health Sciences Campus (HSC) faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students currently employed and enrolled with the University are eligible to request materials through IDD.

Please note the following exceptions:

  • Gould School of Law students, staff and faculty must use Asa V. Call Law Library Interlibrary Loan.
  • Unfortunately, Visiting Scholars are currently not eligible for IDD services.
  • Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) users should contact CHLA Clinical & Research Librarian Kathryn Gstalder at kgstalder@chla.usc.edu to request materials through IDD.
  • Library proxy accounts are unavailable for inter-library loan as requests cannot shared and/or transferred to other user accounts. The original requestor is ultimately responsible for the condition and timely return of physical materials obtained through interlibrary loan.
