Mirrors and Mass: Wayne Thom’s Southern California

Mirrors and Mass: Wayne Thom’s Southern California is an online exhibition showcasing materials from the USC Digital Library's Wayne Thom Photography Collection. Offering visitors an interactive experience of Thom’s photography, this digital exhibit centers on some of the most significant contributions to Late Modern architecture in Southern California from 1968 to 1979, including the Northridge Congregational Church, Bonaventure Hotel, Geisel Library, and the vertical redevelopments of Wilshire Boulevard and Century City. The exhibition was curated and designed by students in the USC School of Architecture’s course The History of Modern Architecture in Southern California and implemented by staff at the Sidney Harman Academy’s Ahmanson Lab.
