Now Accepting Applications for Undergraduate Information Literacy Course Enhancement Grants

Information Literacy

From literature reviews to research papers to creative works, information literacy concepts and skills – the set of abilities encompassing the discovery of information, how information is produced and valued, and the use of that information in creating new knowledge – are used in every discipline and throughout the research process. This grant opportunity is designed to jumpstart curricular implementation, through re-design of a syllabus and/or assignment, of the USC Libraries Information Literacy Outcomes for Undergraduates.

Grant recipients will be awarded $200 to attend an information literacy workshop in November 2017, and work with a librarian to integrate information literacy into a course or assignment.

The fall deadline is Friday, October 20, at noon. All USC faculty (full- or part-time) who teach at least one undergraduate course in 2017-18 or 2018-19 are eligible. For more information or to apply, go to libguides.usc.edu/ilgrants.
