New Library Account Login Method for Non-USC Users

A recent systems overhaul made it easier for USC students, faculty, and other researchers to discover and request library resources. Unfortunately, some library users without a current USC e-mail address (including alumni, Friends of the USC Libraries, and visiting scholars) temporarily lost online access to their library accounts.

The USC Libraries have now restored that online access, allowing these users to login online to check due dates, renew books, or page items from the Grand Depository. To complete the process, these users will need to link their library accounts to their Google or Facebook profiles. Once they've registered, they should select the "social network" option the next time they're asked to sign-in for library services. (Please note that affected users should have received email notifications inviting them to complete this process. Most library users, including current USC students, faculty, and staff, should continue to login as they always have using their USC IDs and passwords.)

Those who have questions about this new service or need help should contact Doheny Memorial Library at dmlnotes@usc.edu or the Norris Medical Library at 323-442-1116.
