New Instructional Design Infographic on Deliberative Practice

Instruction

InfographicThe USC Libraries have published a new infographic on the subject of deliberative practice—the latest in an acclaimed series by Instructional Design and Assessment Librarian Kevin Michael Klipfel. The infographics are part of the USC Libraries' evidence-based instructional design strategies program, which applies best practices insights from the education research literature to the library instruction, and serve as the basis for regular collaborative conversations among USC librarians. Previous installments explored the subjects of storytelling, transfer, autonomy, rapport, and mindsets.

Klipfel's latest infographic has already drawn praise on social media. North Carolina State University librarian Alex Carroll wrote on Twitter: "[I] can't recommend these enough. These are great primers on evidence-based pedagogical principles, framed in ways that are approachable and practical for teacher-librarians at all expertise levels."
