As the University of Southern California celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month this October, students associated with the LGBTQ+ Student Center have submitted ten films as recommended viewing. Many of these titles are part of Leavey Library's DVD collection:
- But I'm a Cheerleader (1999)
- Carol (2015)
- A Fantastic Woman (2017)
- Fire Island (2022)
- How To Survive a Plague (2012)
- Moonlight (2016)
- Portrait of Lady on Fire (2019)
- Saving Face (2004)
- Tangerine (2015)
- The Watermelon Woman (1996)
In addition, research resources related to LGBTQ+ history abound at the USC Libraries. Although the ONE Archives at USC Libraries, the world's largest repository of LGBTQ+ materials, are currently closed for renovations, librarian Chimene Tucker's LGBTQ Studies research guide directs USC researchers to relevant digital resources.
