Carrollians Convening (Virtually) April 22-23 at USC Libraries

Events

On Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, the USC Libraries host the Lewis Carroll Society of North America's Spring 2022 Virtual Meeting. Presenters and panelists—including several library faculty and staff—will explore how students, scholars, and enthusiasts find their ways into the worlds of Lewis Carroll (né Charles Dodgson), the 19th-century polymath best known as the author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

The meeting coincides with and encompasses the 17th-annual USC Libraries Wonderland Award ceremony, which begins on Friday afternoon at 5. The program also includes a whimsical tour of the USC Libraries' G. Edward Cassady, M.D., and Margaret Elizabeth Cassady, R.N., Lewis Carroll Collection led by librarians and archivists Rebecca Corbett, Bo Doub, and Josh Hutchinson. That presentation, titled "New Vorpal Adventures: Galumphing through the USC Libraries Cassady Collection," begins Saturday afternoon at 2:30.

The Zoom event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.
