Book Signings, Documentary Films, and Panels at Archives Live!

Be sure to come by the Davidson Conference Center this Saturday, Oct. 25. 65 Los Angeles-area historical archives will be presenting exhibits, and there will be book signings, film screenings, and panels about the hidden stories of L.A. neighborhoods.

Food critic Jonathan Gold, historian William Estrada, USC professor Jervey Tervalon, and other L.A. authors will discuss history and sign books. Local documentary filmmakers will screen their work and share their insights about the L.A. experience, and educational panels will explore DNA testing in family genealogy, the USC Libraries digital archive, and how to manage your own historical collection.

Look for USC Librarians Wayne Shoaf, Sue Tyson, and Claude Zachary on the panels. The complete listing of events is below. See the L.A. as Subject Web page for more.
