Grafton's Chronicles, published in 1568-69, is one of a series of English chronicles (histories) published during this period, mainly as rebuttals to the work of contemporary printers. Grafton was, at one point, the royal printer to King Edward VI, and had as his patron Thomas Cromwell. He is also known for his publication of a new English translation of the Bible, a project overseen by Thomas Cranmer.

Conservation Needs:

Front and back boards off textblock, sections of text detached; needs repair. Requires a custom box for long term preservation.
